Ceramic-Lined Steel Pipes
Ceramic-lined composite steel pipes are composed of a ceramic layer, a transition layer, and a steel pipe layer. These pipes offer exceptional wear resistance, heat resistance, and resistance to mechanical and thermal shock. They are easy to weld and install, making them particularly suitable for conveying materials that experience severe abrasion and erosion, such as in coal-fired power generation, metallurgy, coal, mining, and geological industries.
Applications of Ceramic-Lined Steel Pipes
Composite steel pipes with ceramic linings are extensively used in industries such as power generation, metallurgy, petrochemicals, coal, and lithium battery anode and cathode materials. When transporting abrasive materials like ash, coal dust, and mineral concentrate powders, these pipes address the issue of rapid wear, particularly in bends where wear is even more accelerated. Additionally, when transporting highly corrosive gases, liquids, or solids, there is a risk of pipe corrosion and damage. For high-temperature materials, using heat-resistant steel pipes can be prohibitively expensive.
Ceramic-lined composite steel pipes effectively resolve these issues, making them ideal for applications like coal powder and ash removal in power plants. They are widely used in mining for transporting highly abrasive fill materials, mineral concentrates, and tailings, as well as handling solids and liquids with strong corrosive properties, such as acids, alkalis, and salts. Points to note for transport and installation
Matters needing attention for transportation and installation of ceramic pipe
1. The ceramic composite pipe has high hardness and good toughness, but it should be put gently in the process of transportation and installation to avoid serious collision, especially to avoid direct contact with metal instruments or impact on the ceramic layer on the end surface.
2. The qijing bending pipe is installed with directivity. When the bending pipe is installed, the direction indicated by the arrow on the surface of the bending pipe should be consistent with the flow direction of the conveying medium.
3. When installing the pipe, the pipe should be aligned with the center line and level should be adjusted to make sure that both ends meet accurately.The displacement of both ends should be controlled within 1.0mm.
4. When the flexible pipe joint is used to connect and install the pipe, the inserted lengths of both ends of the flexible pipe joint shall be adjusted symmetrically.Since the thermal expansion coefficient of the composite pipe is about 1/3 of that of steel, the expansion clearance can be reduced by 3-5mm.
5. When using flange connection, the flange end shall be flush with the end of the composite pipe.
6. Due to the excellent welding performance of the composite pipe, the pipe connection can be conducted by welding. However, when welding, 45o-60o "V" type slope Angle is 2-4mm and gap is 0.8-1.2mm.
